2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and password.
  • Profile Data: For Stylists, this includes service offerings, pricing, availability, portfolio photos, and bio. For Shops, this includes business name, address, and chair rental details.
  • Booking Information: Appointment details, messages between users, payment history, and cancellation records.
  • Verification Documents: Government-issued ID, professional licenses, insurance documents, and selfie verification images submitted by Stylists and Shops.
  • Location Data: Approximate or precise location when you enable location services, including travel routes for mobile Stylists and location data used for safety features.
  • Device & Usage Data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and how you interact with the app.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the NextChare platform.
  • Facilitate bookings, payments, and communication between Clients and Stylists.
  • Verify Stylist and Shop credentials to maintain platform trust and safety.
  • Enable safety features such as appointment check-ins and SOS alerts.
  • Send notifications about bookings, account activity, and promotional updates (which you can opt out of).
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Between Users: When you book an appointment, your name, contact information, and appointment details are shared with the Stylist (and vice versa) so the service can be fulfilled.
  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted third parties who help us process payments, send notifications, host our infrastructure, and verify identities.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Verification Documents

ID documents, licenses, insurance proofs, and selfies submitted for verification are stored securely and are only accessible to authorized NextChare staff and automated verification systems. These documents are not shared with other users.

We retain verification documents for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

6. Safety Features and Location Data

If you enable location services, we collect your location to support features like travel mode for mobile Stylists and safety check-ins. Location data is only shared with the other party to the appointment during the active appointment window.

SOS alert data, including location at the time of the alert, is shared with emergency contacts you designate and may be shared with law enforcement if necessary.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we may retain certain data for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes, or to resolve disputes.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
